Brewery Expansion update
Our new tanks arrive January 23rd, so while we transition to our new system, we may be a little low on beer. But don’t fret – once they are in, look out! More beer, more fun, more beer!
Holiday 4 Packs
Our annual holiday 4 pack is now available at the pub. Four scrumptious 22 oz bottles, with one-of-a-kind labels by our own graphic craftsman Paul Zabierek, hand bottled, hand sealed, and arriving in their own handy-dandy carrying case. This year we’re featuring 1) 2012 Chardonnay barrel-aged apricot rye ale 2) 2011 barrel-age Old Ale, 3) 2012 Flashover Chili Porter 4) 2012 Edwin’s Winter Scotch Ale. They sell out every year so get yours while you can.

KITCHEN CORNER
We’ve just finished a minor menu update – look for some new yummy dishes such as a Mushroom Melt Sandwich, a Chicken Dinner with Mashers and Green Beans Amandine, and a warm pesto bruschetta appetizer. Plus daily pasta specials.
We are Now Open for Lunch Wednesday through Sunday
Lunches are in full swing! Not only do we have our standard lunch menu, but we will be offering Grab & Go Lunch Boxes for those in need of a quick lunch fix.
Fish and Chips Mondays
Every Monday, you are guaranteed to find our succulent Fish & Chips on the specials board. Combine that with happy hour all day on Monday you have yourself a winning combo! Chef Alex has incorporated a new & improved beer batter that is out of this world delicious!
Oyster Thursdays
The newest Iron Springs tradition. Every Thursday we feature a different variety of oyster, served either on the ½ shell or BBQ. Prices will vary, depending on the type of oyster. So far we have showcased Hog Island Oysters, Tomales Bay Oyster Company, and oysters from various locations in California,Washington State, & Vancouver BC. Let us know if you have a favorite oyster you would like to see “on tap.”

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Marin Produce! We are now donating 15% of sales to the day’s sponsored organization – 10% from us, 5% from Marin Produce. Marin History Museum
Founded in 1935, the Marin History Museum celebrates the traditions of innovation and creativity of the people of Marin County. Through exhibitions and educational programs, the Museum inspires honor for the past, an understanding of the present, and an imagination of the future. MHM operates three facilities, the Research Center in Novato, which houses a research library and the Museum’s 20,000 artifacts and over 200,000 archival material; the Boyd Gate House, an 1879 Gothic Victorian historic home, which houses changing exhibitions and educational programs, and public tours; and the History Center, a community gallery that features engaging programs and art-inspired exhibitions. The Museum does not receive tax dollars from the city, county, state or federal government and therefore they rely completely on the public’s tax-deductible contributions. Fairfax Open Circle Arts and Sports
Fairfax Open Circle Arts and Sports (FOCAS) is the Town of Fairfax’s local community program. They offer arts and recreation for ALL ages from newborn to adult. Over the years they have grown from offering a couple classes to a current full schedule of classes in the Pavilion, Women’s Club and Youth Center– including their popular Camp Fairfax during the summer. They also have affordable birthday rental packages and support town events such as Peri Park clean up and the Town Picnic. Here’s the latest information from our local band of merry players!
(1) The Youth Theatre Classes are going well and will continue after the current session is over
(2) The next production is ‘Bottom’s Play’—continuing where A Midsummer Night’s Dream left off. It will be staged end April 2013
(3) Relativity—The Musical is to be remounted in the summer of 2013.

Rowan Brothers with VERY special guests Jose Neto & Mark Moore
Rowan Brothers- Chris & Lorin with special guests singer/songwriter Mark Moore and guitarist Jose Neto. ISB presents an acoustic evening of Rowan Brothers (www.rowanbrothers.com) Americana music with classic vocal harmonies and backed by virtuoso guitarist Jose Neto (www.joseneto.com), Fairfax local resident and longtime guitarist for Stevie Winwood. Mark Moore is a Marin County songwriter who has recorded several CDs of his music with Jose Neto producing.Mark’s currently recording his new CD (think Crosby,Stills & Nash) with the brothers Chris & Lorin backing on guitars and vocals, as well as Jose producing and on guitar too. Several of Mark’s new songs are being showcased with this exciting ensemble of musicians. Jose will be joining the brothers as they perform songs from their rich catalogue of original music with a few ‘classic rock’ songs thrown in the mix.

Friends Of Finch
F.O.F. (Friends of Finch) play primarily original music inspired by the likes of weather report, Jeff Beck and Phish, to name a few, and while each band member possesses great individual skill and prowess, it is the unique ensemble sound, great chemistry and compelling compositions that set the group apart! Featuring Tom Finch (Big Brother & the Holding Co.) on Guitar, Michael Bluestein (Foreigner) on Keys, Marc Smith (Jazz Iguanas) on Drums, Andius Jent on Bass, and Charles Moselle on Sax, Flutes and Vocals stylings; F.O.F. draws on the bands collective experience on the road and in the studio to bring you their own brand of Rock/Fusion. From powerful and progressive to loose and “Jammy” and everything in-between; the group offers a wide range of dynamics and tonal colors to keep the listener engaged and the many energetic grooves and rhythmic interludes offers danceability as well! The group thoroughly enjoys playing together and the enthusiasm is contagious!

Matt Eakle Band
The flutist in the David Grisman Quintet since 1989, Matt Eakle, teams up with Joey Edelman on piano, Alex Baum on bass and Jack Dorsey on drums to create a synergy that is a force of nature. The Matt Eakle Band plays all original instrumental jams inspired by traditions from New Orleans to Bombay. “Matt Eakle & his band have brought their incredible flute fired fusion energy & music to the Iron Springs Pub & Brewery this past year,” says Mike Altman, owner, “and Fairfax is truly a better place because of this. Matt and his band are consummate professionals, and from the very first note played they mesmerize the room with their incredibly tight and polished jams. Do yourself a favor and make a bee line to wherever the Matt Eakle Band is playing to see what flute fired fusion is all about!”
