Kate honed her skills in her native Philadelphia, jumped from coast to coast and toured everywhere in between. She laid musical roots in Northern California, building a strong base in Sacramento and then found her niche within the fertile Bay Area music community. With High Sierra Music Festival & Hardly Strictly Bluegrass performances under her belt, she is thrilled to bring together a new band consisting of some of the bay area’s best local, touring musicians. Guitarist Jeff Miller and keyboardist Phil Ferlino are members of local and nationally touring band, New Monsoon. Both musicians also perform with The Contribution, Knights of Saturn, and Sunshine Garcia Band, in addition to their duo project PA Furnace. They are longtime Marin locals, also with roots in Pennsylvania. Drummer Marty Ylitalo is a former member of New Monsoon with a performance resume of great variety. He currently plays drums with Sean Lehe’s Family Practice Band and recently performed as part of the Blue Man Group at the Venetian in Las Vegas. David has toured nationally with Reggae band, The Shakers, and plays locally with blues bands, The Blue Devils and Deluxe.
