Marcus Sears – Sales Representative

I grew up outside Ithaca, New York. Ithaca Beer Company was always a favorite once I reached drinking age, along with good ol’ Genesee Cream Ale AKA “Genny Cream”. After college, I decided I needed to move to San Francisco and embrace myself in a cultural area and try not to blow it and fail. Somehow I’m still here and in that time I discovered the greatness of local craft beer. Living in the mission at age 23 will do that. Years later after a stint in the corporate sales world chasing them dolla’ signs, I decided I wanted to go after a career in the craft brewing industry.»

2016 Winterscotch

A Scotch-style Ale we brew annually just in time for the holiday’s. This year’s 2016 Winterscotch is medium to full bodied, tawny in color, and has a light smoky cherry pipe tobacco character. The balanced lingering finish carries a mild toasted caramel flavor followed by a clean malt balance. Also a limited availability in bottles to go!»

Jam Session IPA

Session-style India Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael. Light hoppy pale ale brewed with a touch of Rye malt and aggresively hopped in the late additions with Mosaic and Cascade hops to give it a spicy and very citrusy flavor and finish.»

Festival Speed

Festival Speed is a Marin County bluegrass combo, Joe Helm on guitar/bass, Bob Hoffman on guitar/bass, Josh Bernstein on banjo, Joe Osborne on fiddle, and Julie Steier on mandolin. We seek to honor the towering progenitors of our genre by playing pure, 190 proof, soulstirrin’, traditional bluegrass. We started as a group of friends who met at local bluegrass jams. Looking to move beyond the jam scene, we formed a band in the spring of 2014 to focus on a set of songs and perfect our sound.»

December 6th – River Otter Ecology Project

River Otter 2015River Otters have returned to the SF Bay Area, and this is good news for our watersheds!  As wetlands and watersheds are restored, and conservation measures are taken, river otters are able to find food and habitat to thrive once more.  The conditions that make watersheds healthy for otters (clean water, functioning ecosystem, plenty of healthy fish), make them healthy for all of us.  The River Otter Ecology project is a volunteer-run citizen science project providing research, education for adults and children, and lots of volunteer opportunities.  Their mission is to support wetland restoration with research, education and restoration partnerships.  Check out their videos and photos of local river otters at, and type on over to their website at
