Wednesday February 3rd – Kelly Peterson Band

“For over ten years Kelly Peterson’s smoky soulful voice has captivated audiences around the Bay Area and beyond. Her live show showcases unique interpretations of classic Americana as well as striking original compositions. She counts none other than Sean Penn as a fan, who used one of her songs in his 2007 film “Into the Wild”. A powerful solo performer in her own right she now tours with the support of an all-star band featuring Taylor Cutcomb (This Old Earthquake) on upright bass and Erik Smyth (Mo’fessionals/ELP) on guitar and harmonies. Kelly Peterson’s beautiful, pure voice cuts through the fog of mediocrity like a beacon of light. She is not to be missed.” The Space Cowboy – Pacific Sun Magazine  https://www.facebook.com/KellyPetersonBand

Wednesday February 10th – The Grateful Bluegrass Boys

Hot off a sold out Terrapin show, these cats are ready to have a hoedown here at Iron Springs.  Grateful Bluegrass Boys began when Aaron Redner (Hot Buttered Rum) and David Thom (Vintage Grass), both Sonoma residents, decided to mesh their love for traditional Bluegrass music with the songs of the Grateful Dead.  Bryan Horne (Hot Buttered Rum) soon joined the mix on bass and the trio played a few private events before deciding to play in Bay Area clubs and festivals.  Ben Jacobs (Poor Man’s Whiskey) plays accordion and a rotating cast of musicians fill out the band.

Wednesday February 17th – The Kate Gaffney Band

The Kate Gaffney Band consists of singer-songwriter Kate Gaffney, guitarist Jeff Miller, keyboardist Phil Ferlino, drummer Marty Ylitalo & bassist David Russ. Kate honed her skills in her native Philadelphia, jumped from coast to coast and toured everywhere in between. She laid musical roots in Northern California, building a strong base in Sacramento and then found her niche within the fertile Bay Area music community. With High Sierra Music Festival & Hardly Strictly Bluegrass performances under her belt, she is thrilled to bring together a new band consisting of some of the bay area’s best local, touring musicians. Guitarist Jeff Miller and keyboardist Phil Ferlino are members of local and nationally touring band, New Monsoon. Both musicians also perform with The Contribution, Knights of Saturn, and Sunshine Garcia Band, in addition to their duo project PA Furnace. They are longtime Marin locals, also with roots in Pennsylvania. Drummer Marty Ylitalo is a former member of New Monsoon with a performance resume of great variety. He currently plays drums with Sean Lehe’s Family Practice Band and recently performed as part of the Blue Man Group at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Bass player David Russ, also a Marin local, plays with Phil and Jeff in the Knights of Saturn. David has toured nationally with Reggae band, The Shakers, and plays locally with blues bands, The Blue Devils and Deluxe. With each musician adding a unique sound and soul to the songs, the Kate Gaffney Band is excited to bring their refreshing style of folk/groove/roots/rock to the stage.
