SAN RAFAEL UPDATE
We’ve been hard at work at our new taproom and restaurant in San Rafael at 901 4th Street, at the corner of Lootens and 4th. We plan to open shortly after the new year, and can’t wait to show you all how our vision is coming together! HOLIDAY GIFTS AND PARTIES
Give the gift of Iron Springs this season! Looking for a special gift for that beer lover in your life? Don’t miss our release of a 750ml bottle on December 11th. This holiday edition “Quad Goals” Belgian-style Quadruppel Ale aged in Maderia barrels is packaged in a “cork and cage” so you can saber off the top at your next holiday fete.
We also have lots of Iron Springs gear in stock, including short sleeve men’s and women’s Casey Jones Imperial IPA, Epiphany, JC Flyer, Sless Oatmeal Stout, Iron Springs logo, and batik t’s, sweatshirts, ball caps, and more. Come check out our styles and colors! We also have logo pint glasses, gift certificates in any amount, and beer tokens, and housemade salsa for that Christmas stocking. Just ask any server or manager and they’ll be glad to help you out! And if you really want to make that next party special, grab a 32 oz. crowler or 64 oz. growler to go.
Ready to plan your holiday party? We can seat parties up to 30 people in our main dining room, and our private room seats 15 comfortably for dinner, or 25 for a cocktail event. We’d love to help you plan the perfect party – just call (415) 485-1005 and ask to speak to any manager.
The holidays are a great time to hang out with friends at the pub and enjoy a festive pint! Here are our holiday hours:
Monday December 4th – closed for our annual staff holiday party
Tuesday December 5th – Saturday December 23rd – open every day starting at 12pm for lunch and dinner.
Sunday December 24th – Monday December 25th – closed. Happy holidays!
Monday December 26th – Saturday December 30th – open at 12pm for lunch and dinner.
Sunday December 31st – open for lunch and early dinner, 12pm-8pm
Monday January 1st – back to regular hours (open every day starting at 12pm for lunch and dinner)
Beer News! Read All About it!
We now have 3 beers available in 16 oz. cans. Pick up your cans of Casey Jones Imperial IPA, JC Flyer IPA, and Kent Lake Kolsch at the pub or wherever you buy your beer. What? They don’t have our cans? Email our fabulous sales guru Marcus at firstname.lastname@example.org and he’ll pay them a visit.
Get 3 packs of 32 oz. Crowlers for only $33 through the end of December. You pick the beers, we fill them for you on the spot. Now that’s fresh!
New Beer Releases
Tradecraft IPA – Beer nerdy West Coast IPA hopped with Cryo Eukanot, Cryo Mosaic, Loral, and Citra, 6.8% ABV
Chazz Cat Rye – Old spicy Rye ale recipe from back in the day hopped with English grown East Kent Goldings and Yakima grown Cascades, 6% ABV, released on 12/8
2017 Silk Smoking Jacket – Annual smoked winter ale brewed with California grown barley that was malted locally in Alameda by Admiral Maltings, 8% ABV, released on 12/20.

Dark Path Black Lager – roasty black beer 5.3% ABV
Gose Candy – fruited tart wheat ale, 4.3% ABV
Forbidden Donut – chocolate Baltic Porter, 7% ABV. Check out its writeup in the Marin IJ on 12/6!
Beer Day Mild – malt balanced pale ale brewed with Admiral Malt, 4.9% ABV
Fairfax Coffee Porter – robust porter infused with locally roasted coffee, 6% ABV, released early to mid-January.
Chocolate Beer Month! Coming this February. Look for a Mocha Porter, a Chocolate Stout, and other favorites both from us and from other local breweries.
SF Beer Week Coming February 9th-18th all over the Bay Area.
Barrel Aged Beer Releases for San Rafael In January, we’ll be kicking off the San Rafael taproom opening with some barrel aged specialties: Rye barrel Stout, Maderia Barrel 11 years Strong Pale, Quad Goals, and Brett Twain Ale.
Join us on the next Firkin Friday. Follow us on Facebook for exact cask tapping dates, times, & flavors, or go to our web calendar at www.ironspringspub.com. After 10 pints of cask ale, you will receive a commemorative cask glassware only available by having your cask card punched.
On Friday December 15th we will release a cask of “Pipe Tobacco,” our Silk Smoking Jacket ale with cherries. ABV 8%

Deep Blue Jam’s 1st recording features Eric McCann/(bass/(Santana, Clarence Clemons band, Bonnie Raitt), Matt Willis/drums (Maria Muldair/Nick Gravenites), Steven Berk/keys, and legendary percussionist Kenneth Nash.

December 5th – TeamWorks Art Mentoring Program
The mission of TeamWorks Art Mentoring Program is to teach and encourage creative expression, self-discipline, collaboration and engagement through the visual arts for at-risk youth ages 12-20. The program empowers students in juvenile detention and at alternative education high schools with arts-enriched classes, one-on-one mentoring, exhibit opportunities and community art projects. The San Anselmo Cooperative Nursery Schools was founded in 1947, and is going into its 71st year as a cooperative preschool. Their goal is to provided an opportunity for preschool-aged children to cooperate, explore, and experiment both in work and play with their peers that will promote social skills, self-esteem, happiness and belonging in a secure, loving environment.
