Each Tuesday we are thrilled to donate 10% to local groups working to support our community. For more information, or to nominate a group, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
November 4th – ExtraFood.org
Over 30,000 Marin residents don’t have a secure food supply. Yet in our abundant county, tons of healthy food goes to waste. ExtraFood.org picks up excess fresh food from grocery stores, farmers’ markets, caterers, restaurants, and other commercial kitchens and facilities. Their volunteer food runners deliver each donation immediately to a nonprofit serving Marin’s most vulnerable residents. Interested in donating food, volunteering, or receiving food? Visit them at www.ExtraFood.org.
November 11th – Mill Valley Philharmonic
Mill Valley Philharmonic’s mission is to enrich the cultural life of our communities by offering free orchestral programs, from
masterworks to world premieres, to people of all ages and means. As an organization, they believe that music is a vital part of individual and community life. Whether participating as a player or as a listener, music engages our imaginative powers, awakens our aesthetic sensibilities, and inspires our creative expression. Experiencing music as a community unites our spirits and voices. Visit them at http://millvalleyphilharmonic.org.
