Shaky Hand String Band
Shaky Hand String Band was founded high in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The bands free spirited personalities are inspired from the mountain town lifestyles in which they live. It’s heard in their original lyrics, and felt in their high-energy feel good licks. The bands fresh approach to old time tunes and modern jam band music captures the hearts of new fans everywhere they go. Steadily growing a fan base from touring, and their first album “Two Miles High,” Shaky Hand String Band is quickly filling a niche in the fast evolving music industry. Dirt stomping and catchy lyrics are the heart beat of Shaky Hand String Band. Members consists of Jess Rose Moidel (fiddle), Patrick O’Halloran (banjo), Todd Webster (mandolin) and Nick Beato (bass).

September 5th – Trout Unlimited
North Bay Trout Unlimited (applicant) is a non-profit local chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU), which has over 100,000 members nationwide. They are dedicated to conserving, protecting, and restoring trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. This chapter, representing over 900 members, is based here in Marin County and includes Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties. Here in Marin County, together with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife they directly assist over 80 elementary school classrooms with watershed science education through the Trout in the Classroom program. In addition, they introduce youth to fly fishing through our First Cast program; and provide recreational fishing outings to disabled veterans and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. In addition NBTU has a long history of conservation work in Marin County watersheds, dating back to the 1980’s. They are currently focusing on two key creeks supporting threatened steelhead and coho, Devil’s Gulch and Redwood Creek. For more information check out http://www.nbtu.org.

Heartwood serves students in Marin, Sonoma, Contra Costa, Napa, Lake, Mendocino and Solano Counties. September 19th – Bread and Roses
Bread & Roses Presents is pleased to return to Iron Springs for Give Back Tuesday on September 19th. Bread & Roses is dedicated to uplifting the human spirit by providing free, live, quality entertainment to people who live in institutions or are otherwise isolated from society. The Babushka Brothers to play from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. They are long-time Bread & Roses volunteers who play a fun mix of country, Cajun and blues. Visit www.breadandroses.org for more info.
September 26th – West Marin Youth Soccer League
The WMYSL has been introducing the world’s beautiful game to kids from San Anselmo to Bolinas for more than 25 years! Their primary goal is to provide kids of all ages in all of West Marin with a positive introduction and exposure to the game of soccer by teaching the fundamental skills of the sport, fair play and good sportsmanship in a fun, supportive and safe environment. While attempting to instill a love for the game they also aim at promoting health and fitness as well as teamwork and camaraderie.
