Members of Classic Rock band Cubed have never known life before Facebook or YouTube. That’s because all four singer-musicians are only 11 and 12 years old. This band of pint-sized rockers made its king-sized debut during the summer of 2017 in a small storefront in Fairfax, California. They knew they were onto something when passers-by filed into the store to not only enjoy the concert, but to also ask the band for autographs. In the short time since that first gig, Cubed has received a Twitter shout out from one of their rock idols, been featured in the Marin IJ and at the Best of Marin IJ Lobby Lounge Concert, and played on stage at the BAMMIES Reunion Concert alongside Neal Schon, Sammy Hagar, Eddie Money, Jefferson Starship and other iconic rock legends. Not only does this creative foursome enjoy playing Classic Rock covers from Styx, The Who, The Doobie Brothers, Rush, Journey, The Black Crowes, and Elton John, but they have already achieved acclaim for their original songs such as “Coming Into View” and “Perfect”, as well as “Eleven”, their crowd-pleasing homage to Spinal Tap’s Nigel Tufnel. The four band members’ styles are as distinctive as the instruments they wield. You’ll recognize Harrison Saltzman by his screaming electric guitar licks, as well as his commitment to black denim and sunglasses. Ezra Rosen’s blindingly fast drumsticks are as brilliant as his red (or black or blonde or leopard print) hair. Nataan Hong is a savant on the keyboard whether he is composing his own rapid fire rock or playing the subtle complexities of Beethoven or Bach. Claire Banks plays bass guitar and is often seen rocking a tutu, even while her vocals lean more Bonnie Raitt than Taylor Swift. Together Cubed proves that when talented and passionate musicians come together their entertainment value increases….exponentially.
